On November 16, 2016, the Argentine National Agency for the Protection of Personal Data issued its Decision 60/16, which included the list of countries enjoying an adequate level of protection of personal data, and with which Personal Data can be exchanged. These countries are the European Union and members of the European Economic Community, the Swiss Confederation, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Faroe Islands, Canada only for their private sector, Principality of Andorra, New Zealand, Eastern Republic of Uruguay and State of Israel only with respect to the data.
This same Disposicion establishes a standard contract to be used in cases where the country with which it is wanted to carry out an exchange of Personal Data does not have an adequate level of protection, which will simplify the procedures for registration of international data transfer contracts (which remains voluntary) and will standardize this type of contract.
